Hahah... yeah, I just got my S14... in time for the last spring snow. I went out into and unplowed area, thinking it would be fun... well understeer is lame, and boring. When I kicked it into reverse, that's a different story... I could actually turn... donuts! Yeah... snow is FWD or AWD... RWD is just like trying to push a sled... if it turns, it's not in the direction you want, most likely, you'll find it doesn't turn at all. Weee.. wait... what? Wow... that was anti-climactic. But fishtailing in the rain is FUN! Not drifting though... but if I'm even a little bit sideways in an S14... IT'S DORIFTOMONKEYSAKEcoolcoolcool... right? Hahah... yeah... because it's... nevermind.

Stock S14 with the peg-leg diff? Things behave differently in snow and really show you strange things. A clutch-kick does nothing in snow, but if you do a feint really slow, you can get an FWD to do a damn good drift. Try again with some different techniques...
Also, I suggest dirt roads over snow, much more accurate middleground, and less dangerous. Plus you get to be all WRC style.

Yeah, the open diff is great for... making that one wheel peel out indefinitely...

I don't think with real snow on the ground it would matter too much how I approached the drift. Once you have a good amount of snow under the front wheels, you're going in a straight line.

There are no dirt roads here! Wait... sure there is... somewhere. There are dirt roads everywhere.

I had a curb experience recently, and I'm not really interested in a ditch experience, or a fence, or anything else harder than my car.

I think if more people knew how much money hitting a curb can cost... less people would do it. Hahah... yeah.

ugh. One of my friends drunk-drifted her idiotic self and her FC RX-7 into a curb, and we had to do a lot of suspension work to make that beast driveable, as well as ditching her pretty schwank deep-dish rims. I surprisingly never had a curb-tap with my corolla. I saw a few people who were good enough to use curb-taps to correct their line, but that's not my style.
